Today is the last day for the “I Draw Comic Sketchbook & Reference Guide” on Kickstarter. It’s a project by Matt Marrocco, a fellow Chicagoan and industrial designer, and so far he’s already over 2000% funded.

This project has caught the eye of a couple people in our office. I’m backing this because the reference illustrations from Ryan Stegman, a Marvel Artist, looked really well done and I like the aesthetic style of comics, which Stegman describes as “half animation, half illustration”. Not to mention all the great different templates this book has to practice with, including 1, 2, and 3 point perspective drawing applications, figure drawing templates with examples, and head and face templates.
If you’d like your own copy you can pledge today on Kickstarter.
